- Chicken breast fillet1 kg
- Eggs2 unit(s)
- Breadcrumbs2 cup
- Mozzarella200 g
- Tomato sauce300 ml
- Oil500 ml
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Chimichurri to taste
- Oregano to taste
- Cut the chicken breasts into steaks. I already order it cut at the butcher to save work.
- Season the steaks with salt, black pepper and chimichurri. Reserve.
- Break the eggs into a bowl. Season with salt and black pepper and beat with a fork.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a square or rectangular bowl. Season with salt and black pepper and mix.
- Dip the steaks in eggs and then coat them in breadcrumbs, covering completely.
- Heat the oil in a pan and throw a matchstick into it. When the match lights, the oil will be at the correct temperature.
- Deep-fry the chicken steaks until golden brown.
- Remove the steaks from the pan and let the fat drain by placing them on a plate lined with paper towel.
- Arrange the steaks on an oven-safe baking tray.
- Drizzle the steaks with tomato sauce (recipe now available here) and cover everything with mozzarella.
- Sprinkle oregano over everything.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C until browned.
- This with rice, beans and fries is delicious!!!
