Cake with guava filling

Aqueça o forno em 180°C e unte a assadeira com manteiga. Na batedeira, bata as claras em neve. Aos poucos, adicione o açúcar, sem parar de bater. Junte as gemas e bata por 10 minutos. Acrescente a farinha e o sal peneirados e misture com cuidado.

Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease the pan with butter. In electric mixer, beat the egg whites. Gradually add the sugar, beating constantly. Add the yolks and beat for 10 minutes. Add the sifted flour and salt and mix carefully.

Despeje a massa na assadeira e asse por 25 minutos. Desenforme quando estiver frio sobre uma superfície polvilhada com açúcar e divida em duas camadas.

Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 25 minutes. Unmold when cool onto a surface sprinkled with sugar and divide into two layers.

Derreta a goiabada na água em fogo alto. Espalhe sobre uma metade do bolo e cubra com a outra

Melt the guava in water over high heat. Spread over one half of the cake and cover with the other.
