- Cinnamon powder to taste
- Clove powder to taste
- Place the sugar for the syrup in a heavy-bottomed pan and let it caramelize over low heat. Stir little by little. When it is fully dissolved, add the hot water little by little. Let it boil until it becomes a very smooth and fluid syrup. Let it cool completely in a glass container before using it. Reserve. Tip: the syrup can be kept in the fridge. After cooling, it has the same texture of honey.
- In a shape of 18 cm in diameter with a hole in the middle, grease with margarine and sprinkle with sugar. Then add some of the sugar syrup made earlier. Cut the bananas to decorate in slices and place over the syrup, as in the photo.
- For the cake dough: mash the bananas with a fork. In a bowl, mix the mashed bananas and the rest of the ingredients. Mix until uniform.
- Place the dough in the pan, being careful not to move the sliced bananas. Tap the bottom of the mold for the dough to settle properly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Tip: unmold while still hot
