- wheat flour2 cup
- eggs2 unit(s)
- Refined sugar1 cup
- chemical yeast1/2 teaspoon
- warm milk1 cup
- margarine or softened butter200 g
- candied fruit2 cup
- vanilla essence or panettone (optional)1 teaspoon
- Preparation: In the mixer, beat the margarine with the sugar until you get a smooth cream.
- Add the eggs and, if you like, the vanilla essence as well and beat again.
- Gradually add the sifted flour alternating with the water. When you get a lump-free dough, add the yeast and candied fruit and mix well.
- Bake in oven at 170 degrees for +/- 35 minutes. Do the toothpick test.
