- Recipe
- Milk 1 liter1000 ml
- Corn starch8 tablespoon
- Shredded Coconut4 tablespoon
- Condensed milk1 can(s)
- Coconut milk1 unit(s)
- Water for syrup2 cup
- plums1 can(s)
- Sugar5 tablespoon
- Sugar for syrup1 cup
- In half a glass of milk, dissolve the cornstarch. This way you guarantee that your coconut manjar does not have lumps.
- Put the previous mixture in a pan and add the rest of the milk, the condensed milk, the coconut milk and the grated coconut. Stir to mix and bring to medium heat, stirring constantly until it becomes a consistent cream.
- Take a shape with a hole in the middle and grease it with water or soy oil. Pour the coconut manjar mixture, wait for it to cool and take it to the fridge for at least 3 hours - it is important to respect this time for the manjar to be very firm.
- Now see how to make a plum syrup for the delicacy: in a pan, melt the sugar until it becomes a caramel without lumps.
- Once the caramel is ready, turn off the heat so it doesn't splash and pour in the water. Turn the heat back on and let it boil on low heat until the caramel lumps dissolve.
- Then add the plums and let it boil until reduced. The longer it boils, the thicker your syrup tends to get. Tip: If you want the syrup with plum pieces, separate half a dozen plums, chop well and add to the syrup.
- After the indicated time, unmold the manjar and cover with the already cold syrup. Your delicious plum delicacy is ready! Prepare it at your house and tell us what you think in the comments. Enjoy your food!
