- Wheat flour1 cup
- Cornmeal2 cup
- Milk2 cup
- Baking powder1 tablespoon
- Fennel1 teaspoon
- Beat the oil, eggs, sugar, cornmeal, flour, milk in a blender until homogenized. If you prefer, add another ½ cup of flour to the mixture. Turn off the blender and add the fennel, stir, add the yeast and stir without beating. Pour into a greased and floured central hole shape. Cook over medium heat for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and dry. Unmold after cooling.
- As an option, you can sprinkle sugar on top and pieces of guava paste on top to decorate.
