- Ingredients
- Recipe
- Wheat flour500 g
- Egg1 unit(s)
- Sugar4 tablespoon
- Salt1/2 tablespoon
- Organic Dry Yeast1 tablespoon
- Cold margarine2 tablespoon
- Warm water1 cup
- Oil for frying1 l
- In a container add the warm water, egg, margarine, sugar, salt, yeast. Mix it all up.
- Add the flour little by little and mix with your hands until the dough is homogeneous and does not stick to your hands, but not completely.
- Knead for 10 to 15 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic. (If using a planetary mixer, knead for 5 minutes)
- Let it rest until it doubles in size (40 min to 1 h) in a stuffy place.
- After it has doubled in size, open the dough to 1 finger thick and cut with the donut cutter, it can be with the hole in the middle or, if you prefer, without. Once cut, let it rest again and double in size for approximately 1 hour.
- After rising moments, heat the oil over low heat in a large skillet. The oil can't be too hot, but it can't be too cold either. Put a piece of dough to test first. Let it brown on both sides and it's done.
- There are endless options for fillings for donuts. Brigadiers, dulce de leche, creams... Or you can just use icing sugar or cinnamon sugar. Everything is perfect! This dough is amazing!
