- Butter200 g
- Milk1 cup
- Yeast1 tablespoon
- Candied fruit to taste
- Lemon zest to taste
- Cognac or Rum (small glass)1 unit(s)
- Essence of Panettone1 tablespoon
- Icing sugar (topping)1 cup
- Lemon juice or milk1 cup
- Raisins to taste
- Cherries to also garnish to taste
- Dried fruits to taste
- Soak candied fruit and raisins in rum or brandy.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff, add 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
- Beat the butter with sugar and throw the yolks one by one.
- Place the milk, flour, yeast, lemon zest and essences.
- Strain the candied fruits and roll them in the flour so they don't stick to the bottom of the mold. Throw the rum or brandy into the cream.
- Then delicately mix the egg whites and the fruits with the cream.
- Put it in greased shape of oil and take it to bake.
- After cold, unmold and confection on top.
- To make the frosting, place 1 cup of icing sugar in a bowl and add the lemon juice or milk, stirring constantly.
- Cover the cake and sprinkle with Nuts, dried fruit and cherries to your liking.
