- Before starting, separate the whites from the yolks; Whip the egg whites until stiff; Then continue beating and add the yolks one by one; Continue beating and gradually add the sugar; Beat for 5 minutes and turn off the mixer; Add the corn starch (Maizena) little by little and mix with a wire whisk; TIP: always stir from the bottom up, gently so as not to lose the lightness. If you want to make the cake even more delicious, add the vanilla essence and continue mixing until the dough is well incorporated; Pour this mixture into a form (22 cm) greased and floured with corn starch. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes or until golden.
