- Recipe
- Wheat flour600 g
- Sugar2 cup
- Eggs2 unit(s)
- Softened Butter1 cup
- warm milk1.1/2 cup
- Grated Lemon Peel1 teaspoon
- Dry Yeast10 g
- Washed and dried grapes (bunches)2 unit(s)
- Sour cream2 dessert spoon
- Cinnamon powder1 teaspoon
- Lemon zest for the farofa to taste
- Separate the ingredients for the dough and for the farofa. As per the ingredients. In a bowl, mix in the warm milk, yeast and sugar. (the milk must be lukewarm for cold and not for hot so we don't run the risk of killing the yeast). Beat the eggs and butter in the mixer, using the paddles, then switch to the hook. Add the flour and beat again on low speed. Gradually add the warm milk and continue beating with the mixer hook. Beat for a few minutes until you form a homogeneous but sticky and soft dough. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size. (choose the warmest place in the kitchen)
- For the farofa mix all the ingredients with your hands until everything is crumbly. Pour the dough in the greased shape and pulling with your fingertips cover the entire bottom. Distribute the grape randomly over the dough, then cover with the farofa. Cover and let rise again until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden and firm.
