- small jackfruit1/2 to taste
- Sugar3 cup
- Lemon juice2 tablespoon
- Cut the jackfruit in half, separate the buds and remove the seeds. Reserve.
- Put the sugar in a pan, bring to the fire, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes, or until the sugar is golden.
- Lower the heat, carefully add 4 cups of water and mix until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the jackfruit, stirring occasionally, for 8 minutes, or until it becomes soft and has a golden, thick syrup.
- Turn off the heat and add the lemon juice.
- Allow to cool and place in a bowl. Serve with cheese.
