- Demerara sugar1 tablespoon
- Egg1 unit(s)
- Oil1 tablespoon
- Powdered sweetener2 tablespoon
- Wheat flour1 cup
- Milk1 cup
- Vanilla essence1 tablespoon
- Baking powder1 tablespoon
- Cut the apples into slices and remove the core with a soda cap
- For the dough: In a bowl place the egg, oil, sweetener, vanilla essence and milk, mix well with a whisk and add the flour, keep stirring, lastly add the yeast and stir lightly. Reserve
- Grease a frying pan with butter, place the slices next to each other and sprinkle the demerara sugar on top.
- Cook over low heat with the lid on for approximately 7 minutes.
- Carefully release the sides of the cake and with a spatula turn the other side, leave on low heat for another 7 minutes.
- Remove from skillet and serve
