- Panettone or small chocotone1 unit(s)
- Milk150 ml
- Lightly beaten eggs3 unit(s)
- Sugar2 tablespoon
- Lemon and orange zest1 tablespoon
- Cinnamon Powder to taste
- Sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling to taste
- Butter3 tablespoon
- Mix the milk, sugar, eggs, zest and cinnamon in a wide dish so you can dip the panettone.
- Stir everything well to dissolve the sugar and let it rest for 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Cut the panettone into slices of about 3 cm horizontally and then cut each slice in half.
- Dip the slices in the milk mixture until they are well wet, without letting the panettone dissolve, it has to remain whole.
- Take butter to a frying pan and let it melt, place the slices and let them brown on each side (the fire must be very low).
- Whenever you are going to add more slices, add more butter first.
- Serve still warm, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon to taste. TIP: serve with berries of your choice (this way they break down a little of the sweet and make the dessert much prettier and more palatable).
