- Chicken Sassami1 kg
- Chopped Garlic1 tablespoon
- Squeezed Lime1 unit(s)
- Sea Salt to taste
- Fresh Rosemary Sprig1 unit(s)
- Ripe tomato1 kg
- Large unpeeled onion1 unit(s)
- Unpeeled medium carrot1 unit(s)
- Unpeeled medium beetroot1 unit(s)
- Peeled garlic clove4 unit(s)
- Olive oil2 tablespoon
- Season the sasami with salt, lemon and garlic. Book in the fridge for at least 4 hours to pick up seasoning.
- Coarsely chop the tomatoes, onion, garlic cloves, carrots and beetroot.
- Place everything in a baking dish, add the rosemary sprig, salt and drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil.
- Take to preheated oven 220ÂșC to bake for about 40 minutes.
- Remove the rosemary branch and blend the sauce in a blender until smooth, add a little hot water if it is too thick, adjust the salt. Reserve.
- Grill the sassamis in a non-stick frying pan heated with olive oil until golden and cooked through.
- Serve the chicken pieces with the functional sauce on top.
