- Recipe
- Chard1/4 unit(s)
- Garlic Cloves6 unit(s)
- Dry white wine1/2 cup
- Cane molasses1 dessert spoon
- Scallions on stalks4 unit(s)
- Thyme sprigs2 unit(s)
- Salt to taste
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil4 tablespoon
- Cut the washed chard in 2 lengthwise. Then cut one of the halves in 2 in the opposite direction. Season with salt.
- Heat the oil in a skillet over low heat and place the chard with the flat side down. With patience let it brown slowly (about 20 minutes) and lose moisture. Flip carefully (tweezers help), season with salt between the leaves that will now be separating easily.
- Add the garlic cloves and thyme and brown the other side.
- Cut the chives into pieces of about 10 cm and then cut in half lengthwise. Place them around the Swiss chard to grill for a minute and add the white wine.
- Let the skillet release the flavors in the wine for a minute and spread a dessert spoon of molasses (it can be honey or sugar) over the whole situation. One more minute and that's it. Cut in two lengthwise. It is an excellent accompaniment to pork, chicken rice or even roasted fish, in which case a lemon at the end goes well. Have fun
