  • Dried fava beans500 g
  • Sliced Calabrian Sausage1 unit(s)
  • Charque (dried meat) in pieces200 g
  • Pieces of Bacon100 g
  • Chopped Onion1/2 unit(s)
  • Chopped Garlic2 unit(s)
  • Coriander to taste
  • Seasoning for beans to taste
  • Cumin to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • Oil1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Seasoning Edu Guedes to taste
  1. Soak the beans in water overnight before cooking.
  2. Drain the fava that goes with the hydrated grains. If you have any bad grains discard.
  3. Boil the charque well to remove excess salt.
  4. In a pan, heat the oil, garlic and onion until golden.
  5. Add the sausage, bacon, beef jerky and all seasonings. Add the fava and let it braise a little.
  6. Cover with water and cook until soft with whole grains. Taste the salt.
