- Red or carioquinha beans400 g
- Ground beef500 g
- Tomato paste1 can(s)
- Chopped onion1 unit(s)
- Chopped garlic cloves3 unit(s)
- Chili pepper2 unit(s)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Corn flour3 tablespoon
- Bay leaf1 unit(s)
- Beef broth1 unit(s)
- Coriander to taste
- In a pressure cooker, place the beans to cook with water, meat broth and bay leaf (red beans take about 30 minutes, carioquinha 45).
- In a common pan, fry the onion and garlic.
- Add the ground meat, finger pepper (can be seedless) and other seasonings and fry until it dries.
- Add the tomato paste and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.
- When the beans are ready, add the meat sauce to the pressure cooker and mix well for 5 minutes.
- Add the corn flour little by little and mix. Don't let it thicken too much.
- Serve hot in a bowl or on a plate with rice.
