- Eggs3 unit(s)
- Sugar5 tablespoon
- Butter3 tablespoon
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Milk4 unit(s)
- Biological yeast (dry)1 tablespoon
- Wheat flour7 cup
- Gem (for brushing)1 unit(s)
- Add the eggs, sugar, dry yeast, butter, salt and warm milk. Beat for 2 minutes. Milk can't be too hot if it doesn't kill the yeast bacteria.
- Transfer the contents to a bowl and add some of the wheat flour, and stir with a spoon. Gradually add the wheat and stir until the dough is heavy.
- Sprinkle wheat on a surface and place the dough. Sprinkle wheat on the dough as well and mix with your hands, until it becomes a smooth dough.
- Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest in a covered container for 1 hour.
- Divide the bread dough into two parts, stir some more and open one of them with a rolling pin.
- Roll the dough so that it has nice edges and do the same with the other half.
- Put the two parts in a greased shape, cover with plastic and let it rest for another hour.
- The bread dough will be well risen. Brush with an egg yolk and bake in an oven, preheated to 200ºC, for 25 minutes and it's ready.
