- fresh baker's yeast50 g
- butter150 g
- milk300 ml
- eggs1 unit(s)
- salt1/2 teaspoon
- sugar50 g
- flour700 g
- chocolate bars (2 bars per bun50 unit(s)
- Crumble the yeast in a large bowl.
- In a pan, melt the butter. Add the milk and heat to about 37°C* (for temperature, see note above).
- Then pour the warm milk and butter mixture over the yeast and mix until the yeast is dissolved.
- Then add the beaten egg, salt, sugar and most of the flour (set aside about a handful).
- Knead the dough until it comes away from the sides of the bowl (about 3 minutes).
- Form a ball, sprinkle with the remaining handful of flour, cover with a cloth and let double in volume in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Remove the dough, roll it out into a long rectangle and shape the buns by placing 2 chocolate bars on each of them.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the buns on it.
- Cover with a dish towel and let it double in volume for 30 minutes.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 250°C for 6-8 minutes
