- Fusilli noodles or other pasta of your choice2 cup
- Can of diced peeled tomato sauce1 unit(s)
- Onion cut into cubes1/2 unit(s)
- Crushed Garlic Clove2 unit(s)
- Pitted Portuguese Olives15 unit(s)
- Hot water2 cup
- Sweet paprika1/2 coffee spoon
- Olive oil2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Sicilian lemon to taste
- Grated Parmesan Cheese to taste
- Basil to taste
- Place a pan over medium heat. When heated, add the oil, onion, garlic and sauté.
- Add the diced peeled tomato and mix. Add the cups of water and mix some more.
- Add the pasta, olives, salt, paprika and black pepper.
- Let it boil, and when it starts, let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Cover the pan and let it cook for another 10 minutes, stirring from time to time until the pasta is done and the sauce is well bodied. Note: If necessary, add more water until the pasta is cooked.
- When serving, add grated Parmesan cheese and lemon zest on top. Garnish with basil leaves.
