- Warm whole milk450 ml
- Wheat Flour1 kg
- refined sugar6 tablespoon
- Organic Honey4 tablespoon
- Dry yeast for bread and dough10 g
- Eggs3 unit(s)
- Butter or margarine2 tablespoon
- Egg yolk for brushing1 unit(s)
- Cinnamon powder to sprinkle on top of bread to taste
- In a large bowl put the sugar, flour and salt and mix, add the dry yeast and mix everything
- Add the butter, eggs, honey and warm milk and mix everything together with your hands until the dough starts to come together.
- Knead the dough on a clean, floured bench for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth.
- Place the dough in the bowl covered with a cloth and let it rest for an hour.
- Debt the dough and place in the molds of English cake or make balls and place in a rectangular shape (lined with parchment paper or greased with a little butter and flour)
- Cover with cloth and let rest for another 40 minutes.
- Brush with egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes (until golden)
- Unmold and sprinkle cinnamon powder to taste (optional)
- Tip: if you make balls, it makes more than 20 sweet breads đ
