Know the origin of the casserole!
Despite having the name of a pan used in the kitchen, here we are talking about the Italian casserole recipe, a dish with a unique and exceptional flavor! There are those who say that it was the Italians who originated this wonder, but other stories claim that the Portuguese may have been the creators, mainly because the cuisine of that country has many sweets that resemble the casserole.
The original recipe casserole is a mixture of cake and pudding, it has an aspect where we can notice the presence of both and it has a sensational creaminess! All this splendor of the dish reached Brazil and other countries over time and movements that took place, discoveries of new lands and navigations.
Many regions, not only in Brazil, but also in other countries around the world, created their own versions of the casserole recipe, adding new ingredients to this creamy cake. The Portuguese and their “mania for putting eggs on everything”, as some comment, did not leave the yolk out of this dish and they were the ones who made it reach us Brazilians.
