- Salt to taste
- Wash the quinoa and place in a fine sieve and rinse under cold running water. Stir the seeds by hand while rinsing. This procedure removes the bitter taste from the seeds. Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the washed quinoa and fry for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. After frying the seeds, add the water, seasonings and salt to taste. Let it cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat, let the cooked quinoa rest for 5 minutes with the pan covered. Finally, remove the lid and stir the seeds to loosen them and release the trapped steam. Serve hot or cold. ✨ I chose to serve with a salad MIX.
