- Large onion1 unit(s)
- Garlic head1 unit(s)
- Shoyo sauce1 cup
- Basil Sauce1 unit(s)
- Green scented sauce1 unit(s)
- Salt to taste
- Water1 cup
- Chop the garlic into coarse slices and sauté together with the onion.
- Chop the tomatoes into 8 parts and add to sauté together with the onion and garlic
- Chop the beetroot into small cubes and add as soon as it starts to boil.
- Beetroot serves to reduce acidity and adds color
- Add a cup of water
- When it starts to boil, add the chopped green chilli, stir
- When it boils again, add the basil, stir
- When it boils again, add a cup of soy sauce
- Let it boil for 20 minutes, turn off and let it cool until lukewarm (around 30 minutes)
- Blend in a blender while it is warm
- I don't usually add salt, as it can be added to the dough recipe. But if you want to act as you like, this is the time
- Return to the pan to boil again for another 20 minutes and wait for it to cool before splitting.
- Ready to eat: This recipe makes approximately 2 liters of sauce, 10 200ml jars
