- Recipe
- Rice2 cup
- Lentils (soaked for 8 hours)1 cup
- Water for rice4 cup
- Chopped Onion1/2 unit(s)
- Sliced onion for frying3 unit(s)
- Turmeric to taste
- Syrian Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil to taste
- soak the lentils for a few hours or overnight.
- in a pan, sauté half a chopped onion, add the spices and salt and sauté as well.
- add the rice and sauté.
- add the lentil
- add the hot water and let it cook in the semi-covered pan.
- in another pan add plenty of oil or olive oil, enough to cover the entire bottom of the pan. Let it warm up.
- add the sliced onions and fry over medium heat. Be careful not to burn. When they are golden, remove from the pan and place on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat this process until you run out of onions.
- serve the rice with lentils, cover with the fried onions.
