- Recipe
- can of corn1 unit(s)
- Milk300 ml
- Butter2 tablespoon
- Chopped Onion1/2 unit(s)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Freshly grated nutmeg to taste
- Beat the corn with the milk in the blender until it's very smooth. If you want, you can reserve a spoonful of corn to decorate.
- In a pan, saute the onion in butter until it becomes light, it doesn't need to brown too much.
- Add the beaten liquid to the stew and stir well. Adjust seasoning, salt, pepper and nutmeg. And keep stirring until it thickens. You don't need starch or flour, the corn itself will thicken the cream. Be careful when boiling as it can bubble, lower the heat and stir vigorously until you reach the desired texture. Remember that after cooling it will thicken a little more.
- This cream goes very well with grilled dishes, chicken fillet, fish, etc.
