- Hummus (Arabic: حُمُّص) is a typical food of Arab culture made from boiled and squeezed chickpeas, taine, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic.
- Originally from the Middle East, hummus is a very creamy paste, ideal to serve with toasted bread, pita bread or raw vegetables. Its base ingredient is cooked chickpeas and the secret lies in the perfect combination with the tasty spices.
- From ingredient 1 to thyme, your chickpeas, previously treated, will be sautéed. Even if you don't know how to do this, in another chickpea snack recipe, I share this process.
- After sautéing, remove all these ingredients from the chickpeas and reserve with the water that was left with these seasonings.
- Now, from the girl's finger ingredient to the salt, you season your chickpeas to taste! Now it's time to puree the chickpeas and season and adjust the salt. You can use a blender or a mix. The important thing is to get a smooth and homogeneous paste, so reserve the broth from the cooking of the chickpeas.
- Time to prepare your tahini. With the help of a shredder, put the sesame and coconut oil little by little until your mixture turns into a paste!
- After that, just add it with your chickpea puree, correct the salt, pepper and whatever else you want and enjoy. 💪🏼👨🏻🍳👊🏼
