- Recipe
- Flaked Corn Flour3 cup
- Sugar1 dessert spoon
- Salt1 coffee spoon
- Water1 cup
- Pepperoni sausage1 unit(s)
- Bacon1 unit(s)
- Onion to taste
- Red Pepper to taste
- Coriander to taste
- Bottle butter1 tablespoon
- Hydrate the flaked flour in a cup of water, mix until you notice that all the flour in the container is united. Let it rest for five minutes
- While the flour is hydrating, chop the sausage and bacon into cubes, fry and add the bottled butter (if you don't have any, use any or even margarine), the onion and the red pepper. Fry a little until the onion is wilted.
- Loosen the flour with a spoon, and if you notice that it is dry, add a little more water (the point is to be able to make a ball with your hand and it doesn't drop right away, like a wet farofa)
- In a medium or large couscous pan, put the flour to cook, it takes five minutes (when it starts to smell you'll know it's ready)
- Mix the already cooked flour with the ingredients that were fried and finally add the coriander
- Enjoy this delicacy as farofa, accompanying roasted chicken, jerky, or eat it pure with cottage cheese on top, grilled qualho cheese or anything else you want.
