  • Ingredients
  • Recipe
  • Diced Bacon1/4 cup
  • Lard3 tablespoon
  • Biju corn flour2 cup
  • grated carrot1/2 cup
  • Onion cut into half moons1/3 cup
  • Chopped Chili Pepper to taste
  • Sea Salt to taste
  • Coarsely chopped parsley to taste
  1. In a pan heat the lard and fry the bacon for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the onion and pepper and fry until it wilts well.
  3. Add the carrots and continue to fry over low heat for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add the parsley and mix for another 1 minute.
  5. Add the corn flour, seasoning with salt and stir over low heat until the flour is toasted.
  6. Transfer the farofa to another container and serve when it is cold.
