- Large potatoes cut into slices end900 g
- Olive oil6 tablespoon
- Salt1 tablespoon

- Grated colonial cheese50 g
- Lemon zest1 teaspoon
- Here the little trick is to cut the potatoes very thin. I use the mandolin, but if you don't have it, you can use a knife. The important thing is to get very thin slices. Once cut, mix the ingredients, except the cheese, in a container. The objective is to smear each of the potato slices.
- To assemble this amount of potatoes a form of English cake is ideal. The objective is to interleave the slices. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 25 minutes. After removing the aluminum foil, leave for another 20 minutes on a higher heat to dry the liquid that forms, in addition to browning. Let it cool to unmold and sprinkle with chopped parsley and lemon zest. You can use potato in this recipe, but it releases more liquid.
- This is a very versatile accompaniment. It can be served with a grilled meat and a salad of leaves. Or even, it can be the accompaniment of your barbecue. Easy, cheap and charming. Speaks seriously. What a combo!!! And yes, it is poetic license. By definition A Thousand Leaves is a puff pastry stuffed with sweet cream 😉
