- Tomato sauce500 ml
- Basil (bundle)1/2 unit(s)
- Chopped red onion1/2 unit(s)
- Ketchup200 ml
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil2 tablespoon
- Butter50 ml
- Salt1 to taste
- Black pepper1 to taste
- Put the butter and oil in the pan, add the chopped red onion and put it to sauté.
- Once the onion is sautéed, add the tomato sauce and ketchup.
- Let it boil for about 10 minutes on low heat and then add half of the basil, salt and pepper and let it reduce for another 5 minutes.
- Shift the fire and put in the rest of the chopped basil, taste the salt and if necessary add a little more.
