- White rice2 cup
- Fresh shrimp (gutted)1/2 kg
- Chicken sausage (boiled)1/2 kg
- Minced garlic3 unit(s)
- Chopped Onion1/2 unit(s)
- Red and Yellow Peppers1/2 unit(s)
- Chicken or shrimp broth600 ml
- Cajun Seasoning2 tablespoon
- Butter or lard1 tablespoon
- Olive oil to taste
- Small diced tomato1 unit(s)
- Parsley or chives to taste
- Salt to taste
- Follow the video step by step. Seal the sausage and shrimp. Reserve. Saute onion, garlic and peppers. Add rice, cajun seasoning. Gradually add the broth until the rice is cooked.
- Return the sausage and shrimp to the pan and cook until you like the rice. Adjust seasoning with salt and finish with parsley or chives.
- Ingredients for Cajun Seasoning •1/2 teaspoon onion powder •1/2 tsp garlic powder •1/2c.c dried thyme •1/2 c.c. grain mustard • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper •1/2 c.c. black pepper •1/2 c.c. dried leek (opt) Mix everything and reserve in a bowl.
- Tip: You can also include diced chicken if you like.
