- Spread a thin layer of mornay sauce on each slice of bread; On the face of the bread where the sauce layer is, place a layer of cheese, one of bacon or ham, and one of cheese again, cover with the other slice; Butter the outer sides of the bread; Brown in toaster or plate or frying pan, without heating inside; Transfer the sandwich to a tray; Cover with the mornay sauce in a thick layer, sprinkle with the grana padano cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200° until browned!
