Caramelized Popcorn with Whiskey and Bacon

- Bacon cut into cubes50 g
- Whiskey50 ml
- Popcorn to taste
- Demerara Sugar1/2 cup
- Pop the Popcorn as usual.
- In a pan, place 50g of bacon cut into small cubes. Let it cook for approximately 1 minute. Add 50ml of whiskey of your choice and keep on the fire for another 1 minute. If you master the technique, you can flambé, but it's not necessary.
- In another (large) pan, place 1/2 cup of demerara sugar (or other sugar of your choice). Keep the pan over medium heat and, as soon as the sugar starts to melt, turning into syrup, add the bacon and whiskey mixture. Add the popped popcorn to the mixture and stir until all the popcorn is coated with the caramel flavored with whiskey and bacon. Remove from the pan and pour onto the platter you wish to serve.
