Corte as batas em palito e seque-as com papel toalha. Coloque o óleo para esquentar, quando estiver bem quente, retire 1/2 xícara desse óleo e misture a 1/2 colher de amido de milho.

Cut the potatoes into toothpicks and dry them with a paper towel. Put the oil to heat, when it is very hot, remove 1/2 cup of this oil and mix it with 1/2 spoon of cornstarch.

Após misturado, volte esse óleo para frigideira, frite as batatas em fogo médio até dourarem.

After mixing, return this oil to the skillet, fry the potatoes over medium heat until golden.
