- Ground beef200 g
- Egg1 unit(s)
- Onion1/2 unit(s)
- Vegetable oil for sautéing1 tablespoon
- Shoyu2 tablespoon
- Mirim1 tablespoon
- Sugar1 teaspoon
- Chives to taste
- Wheat flour1/2 cup
- Panko flour2 cup
- Oil for frying the croquettes to taste
- Peel the potatoes and cook in water until softened. Mash as a puree and set aside to cool well.
- Sauté the ground beef with onion and season with soy sauce, mirin and sugar. If necessary, adjust the salt. Let it cool down.
- Once cool, mix the puree with the meat and make flattened balls and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Dip the croquettes first in the flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the panko.
- Deep fry until golden brown over medium to high heat. It's very crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside!
