- Mix the oatmeal and water and let it hydrate for 5 minutes. Then add the egg and beat with a fork until foamy. Heat the pan and add a few drops of oil, pour the batter into the pan and turn it to spread the batter, like a pancake. When the edges around the pan come off the bottom of the skillet, turn the aveioca over and wait until the underside is golden too. Fill with whatever you like! In mine I used shredded chicken, green seasoning, cheese and ricotta.
