- Step by step Mix the flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a bowl and set aside. In another bowl mix 2 cups of wheat with the milk, add the salt and sugar along with the yeast and in another bowl mix the milk, oil, egg and margarine and heat slightly. It can't get too hot or it kills the yeast, it should only heat up a little above room temperature. Once heated, mix with a fork. Add the liquid mixture to the flour mixture and stir. Place on a floured surface and knead until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough, this takes about 10 minutes maximum. Let rise until doubled in size in a dry bowl covered with a clean cloth. After it rises, open the dough with a rolling pin and cut pieces of the dough to roll the sausage halves and with the qualho cheese, brush with the yolk and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes, or until you see it is lightly golden.
