- To prepare this homemade butter cookie recipe, start by beating the butter with the sugar until it becomes a cream. You can do this with a spatula or an electric mixer.
- The next step is to add the eggs and vanilla essence. Keep stirring until they are completely mixed into the cream.
- Now add the flour and yeast sifted together, thus preventing lumps from forming in the dough. After mixing very well the dough should be very compact and easy to shape.
- For a better consistency of this homemade butter cookie, separate the dough into three parts, wrap in plastic wrap and keep in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- After that time, you can roll out the dough on the floured worktop and cut into the shapes you want. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- Place the homemade cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden.
