- wholemeal flour2 cup
- warm water1 cup
- demerara sugar1 teaspoon
- salt to taste
- pizza yeast1 tablespoon
- olive oil1 tablespoon
- tomato sauce1/2 cup
- oregano to taste
- Dissolve the sugar in the warm water and then the yeast, set aside. In a bowl, add the other ingredients, kneading until you get a homogeneous mass, then let it rest for about 1 hour.
- (If you want the dough to double in size after resting for 1 hour, you will need to divide the dough in half and wait another 2 or 3 hours on average)
- Then open the dough with a rolling pin (grease the place to open the dough with whole wheat flour) and take the dough to the preheated oven for 10 minutes on average.
- Remove from the oven and add the filling of your choice and return to the oven for approximately 15-20 minutes.
- I used tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage, tomatoes and oregano. It was delicious
