- Recipe
- Cooked carioca beans3 cup
- Water2 cup
- Chopped Bacon60 g
- Pepperoni60 g
- Chopped Onion1/2 unit(s)
- Minced Garlic Clove4 unit(s)
- Bay leaf1 unit(s)
- Olive oil2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper Powder to taste
- Chopped chives to taste
- Habanero Pepper Sauce to taste
- Put the oil in the pan and cook the onion over low heat until translucent, add half the chopped garlic, the bay leaf and cook for another 1 or 2 minutes. Add beans and water. Cook for 5 to 10 min and hit the blender or with the mixer.
- In a skillet, fry the bacon and pepperoni in a drizzle of olive oil, until crispy. Then pour everything into the beans.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the habanero pepper to taste (I like it very spicy). Add the chopped chives and leave on low heat for 5 min. If it's too thick, you can add more water little by little, until the desired consistency.
- TIP You can serve it with Croutons, which are nothing more than squares of bread seasoned with oil and salt, baked until crispy.
