- Wheat Flour50 g
- Slice of Italian Bread2 unit(s)
- Gruyere Cheese Slices4 unit(s)
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper to taste
- Butter100 g
- Cut the onions finely into slices. Melt the butter in a deep pan and place the onions, frying briefly, letting them sweat Add salt and pepper to the onions. Put the wheat flour, stir well... This will turn into a kind of dough in the pan.
- Quickly, add already hot water to the pan, until all the onion is covered and reduce the heat to minimum. Let it cook for at least 30 minutes, stirring from time to time, releasing the burnt to the bottom of the pan.
- The onion will caramelize well, turn golden, almost brown and creamy. Turn off the heat and place on a platter that can go in the oven and that will serve as a dish.
- Take the slice of bread, break it into pieces and cover the soup on your platter. Place the slices of cheese on top of the bread and take it to the oven for fixings! Enjoy this ideal delight for colder days!
