- Lentil1.5 cup
- Homemade tomato sauce1 cup
- Hot water2 cup
- Chopped Onion4 tablespoon
- Minced garlic1 dessert spoon
- Chopped green seasoning1 tablespoon
- Bay leaf1 unit(s)
- Carrots, diced1/2 cup
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Sea salt to taste
- Olive oil1 dessert spoon
- In a pressure cooker, brown the garlic and onion in oil.
- Add the lentils, tomato sauce, water, bay leaf and salt. Mix well, close the pressure cooker and let it cook for 4 minutes after it gets pressure.
- Remove the pressure from the pot, open it and check if you need to add more water.
- Add the carrots and cook until they are al dente.
- Add the pepper, adjust the salt and finish with the green seasoning.
- Tip: serve with creamy polenta or mashed potatoes!
