- Cooked Lentils1 cup
- Oat (or rice) flour1 cup
- Large chopped onion1 unit(s)
- Chopped chives and cilantro1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Bahia seasoning to taste
- Soybean oil1/3 cup
- Chopped Pepper1/2 cup
- Olive1/2 cup
- In a large pot, cook the lentils until soft.
- Drain the water and transfer to a large plate. Knead with the help of a fork, it doesn't need to be homogeneous, you can leave some whole grains to give the burger texture.
- Chop the onion, pepper into cubes and brown in vegetable oil. To get less dishes dirty, I suggest you brown the onion in the same pan used to cook the lentils.
- Mix the mashed lentil with the golden onion, parsley, cilantro, seasonings, olives, salt to taste and oatmeal (or other flour).
- Shape the burgers to the size and thickness you want.
- Heat a drizzle of vegetable oil and fry the hamburger on both sides until golden. The hamburgers you are not going to eat, freeze them without frying for the next few days.
- A tip: you can serve it with any meal. In the image, there is the hamburger with wickbold bread, ketchup and fugini mustard, straw potatoes, tofu paste, tomato and lettuce.
