- Cold cooked rice (white or brown)3 cup
- Small onion2 unit(s)
- Green smell1/2 cup
- Turmeric Powder to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Wheat flour1/2 cup
- Sour or starch1/4 cup
- Chemical Baking Powder2 teaspoon
- Water (approximately)3/4 cup
- In a food processor or mash the rice with a fork, leaving pieces.
- Mix with a spatula the chopped onion, green smell, salt, black pepper and turmeric.
- Put flour, sprinkle / starch and add the water gradually. If you want to fry, add until you get small portions with the spoon greased with the oil from the frying pan and that will be placed immediately in the oil before losing their shape. If you prefer to bake, add less water, obtaining a dough that holds its shape, distributing it on non-stick paper or mat.
- To fry, heat oil in a pan high enough to immerse the dumplings. Gradually add the portions of dough to the hot oil, turning to brown evenly, removing with a slotted spoon and draining on absorbent paper.
- If you prefer to bake, preheat the oven to 220°C and place the form with the dumplings, baking until golden. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
- Serve with chili sauce and good twist!
