- Carolina Rice1 cup
- Hot water or vegetable broth3 unit(s)
- Spinach1 to taste
- Red onion1/2 unit(s)
- Garlic1/4 cup
- Garlic(cloves) minced2 unit(s)
- Tomatoes2 unit(s)
- Tomato sauce1 to taste
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, parsley1 to taste
- Bring broth or water to a boil
- Saute onion, leek until slightly translucent. Add the chopped garlic and tomatoes.
- Let it brown well and add the tomato sauce, put the rice and involve everything very well, season and pour the water or broth and cover the pan.
- Cook over medium low heat for about 15 minutes. Stir the rice from time to time so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
- As soon as there are 2 - 3 minutes left for the rice to finish cooking, add the spinach and let it finish next to the rice.
- If necessary, you can adjust the seasonings. It is a brothier rice and goes very well with a nice grilled fish fillet.
